Our little wild one!

Some names just seem to belong to a dog, and America was one of those names.

​

When I look at her, I picture a beautiful painted horse running freely somewhere across the wide-open landscapes of America — perhaps somewhere in Texas, where the skies are big, the land is endless and wild spirits belong. Her beautiful markings gave me exactly that feeling, and somehow, the name America suited her perfectly.

Because this little girl is wild at heart. 

​

America is loud, bold and certainly not afraid to let you know exactly what she thinks. She has a strong personality, takes no nonsense and has absolutely no problem standing her ground. She knows what she wants — and she knows what she doesn't want!

​

She is also incredibly playful, and when the mood takes her, zoomies are definitely a thing. Watching her race around with that happy little face is guaranteed to bring a smile.

​

And if America could choose her own motto, there is no doubt what it would be:

“The land of the free.”

Because America is very much her own girl. She either likes you… or she doesn't! There really isn't much middle ground with this little character. But when she chooses you, you get to see the sweet, playful and loving side behind that big personality.

America is one of those dogs who leaves a lasting impression. She is bold, funny, spirited and completely herself — and we wouldn't change a thing about her.

Our wild little American girl, our painted-horse beauty, she is our pride and joy.
